This has been developed to provide easily accessible nutrition learning materials to all professionals involved in providing care to patients. The first 3 modules are designed specifically to provide an adequate introduction to the subject for foundation year doctors and enable them to meet the requirements of the foundation programme in relation to nutritional care. They are however relevant to a much wider audience.
Work is in progress to develop further modules to help bridge the gap between the detailed materials available through the ESPEN LLL course and the basic information available here, targeting specifically doctors in specialist training, who need some nutrition training, but who are not planning to sub-specialise in nutrition (in particular Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology trainees, anaesthetists and intensivists).
