BAPEN’s 2011 ‘Malnutrition Matters’ Annual Conference considers the issue of delivering quality across all four UK nations whilst providing healthcare professionals with evidence, debate, and peer to peer networking to support their delivery of excellent nutritional care

BAPEN will share news on its own initiatives – Nutrition Screening Weeks (NSWs), British Artificial Nutrition Survey (BANS), e-learning resources for hospital and community, ‘MUST’ App for the iPhone and the charity’s response to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection reports.

Delegates attending will hear updates on sarcopenia (muscle wasting with age), critical care, coeliac disease, safe tube feeding and intestinal failure, and enjoy a major debate on Food, Fortification & Formula and case discussions across in critical care.

Continuing education sessions delivered by BAPEN Medical, BAPEN core group Parenteral and Enteral Group (PENG) and British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (BSPGHAN) complete the agenda for the major UK meeting on clinical nutrition.
