As many of you will know, DDF 2015 was paperless. This meant that the surplus conference bags from DDF 2012 which were being stored by BAPEN were not needed. There was general agreement that the bags should be donated to a suitable charity. The Turing Trust, which supports rural schools in Africa with refurbished IT resources from the UK and by providing teacher training, was delighted to accept the bags. These were shipped to Ghana (via Edinburgh) along with 2 containers of refurbished computer equipment, arriving in November 2015. The students were delighted and the bags are now being put to good use.
