Dear BAPEN members,
We are inviting trainees with an interest in clinical nutrition to get involved in the promotion, and delivery of, high quality nutrition care by joining the British Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) Trainee council. Applications are welcome from all levels of trainees in medical, surgical and critical care specialties who share the aims of BAPEN:
- To support the education and training of clinicians at all levels
- To encourage research & development and to foster collaborations between members’ research groups
- To foster inter-disciplinary links and collaboration between medical specialties
- To foster multi-professional links and collaboration between health professionals
Committee members meet 5 times a year, mostly virtually, with an annual meeting at the BAPEN conference in November. Committee members are expected to contribute actively to tasks including developing educational toolkits, organisation of training days and BAPEN symposia/ conferences.
