The Twelfth South BAPEN Teaching Day

Venue: Paultons Park, Hampshire, UK

The Twelfth South Region Nutrition Day will take place on Monday 10th September 2018 at Paultons Park in Hampshire from 8.50am to 5.15pm. This year the theme is “fostering multidisciplinary care in clinical nutrition”, and the day will comprise three main sections. First, there will be a number of interactive case studies. Second, we will discuss the various roles across different professional groups in nutrition teams to consider how we can work more effectively for the benefit of patients. The day will conclude with the third section which will be national and international updates of clinical nutrition activities.

It will be a busy day but nevertheless coffee on arrival, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon cream tea will be provided. There is plenty of free parking on-site. The standard attendance to the day including all refreshments is £50 including VAT for NHS or university staff, or £100 including VAT for industry staff (reduced to £50 including VAT if the same company is sponsoring the day).

2nd Annual CLIFNET Meeting (Coventry-Leicester IF Network)

We are pleased to announce the CLIFNET (Coventry-Leicester Intestinal Failure Network) 2018 meeting and hope you agree that there is an exciting programme. The meeting is being held at the Leicester Tiger's ground, and once again will be free for delegates (including free car parking). Joining instructions and directions will be sent out with confirmation of your place.

We are really keen to showcase the excellent work in nutrition that is happening across the region during the audits and research from the region session. Abstracts submitted will be judged by a multidisciplinary panel and the best three will be invited to deliver an oral presentation at the meeting, with the winning abstract announced on the day.
