The BPNG webinar series continued on 17th July 2024, featuring an insightful session on refeeding syndrome, presented by Dr Des DeSilva, Consultant Gastroenterologist at Royal Berkshire. Following this, Emma Wilkinson, Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist from Cambridge, and Priya Mistry, Consultant Pharmacist from Southampton, discussed the development of new guidelines for thiamine use in response to Pabrinex supply constraints. The event was well-received, with a strong multidisciplinary team turnout. A recording of the session is available to BPNG members on our website.

Our 2024 Annual General Meeting and officer elections also took place on 17th July. Priya Mistry and Venetia Simchowitz, Consultant Pharmacist at Great Ormond Street, will serve second terms as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. We are pleased to welcome Kate Reilly, Medical Scientific Liaison at Fresenius Kabi, as our new Secretary. The full list of newly elected committee members and their roles is available on our website.

On 1st November 2024, Clara Silcock, Advanced Clinical Pharmacist at Leeds, will represent BPNG at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress North in Manchester, delivering a session on parenteral nutrition.
