BDA and BAPEN Questionnaire on the Use of Blended Diet with Enteral Feeding Tubes

The use of blended food through an enteral feeding tube is commonly referred to as ‘following a blended diet’. Blended Diet can be suggested as an option to home enterally tube fed individuals and their families by healthcare professionals as part of patient centred, personalised care.

Ten years on from the original Blended Diet Practice Toolkit, the British Dietetic Association is working together with the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) to review and update practical guidance on the use of blended diet with enteral feeding tubes. We need your help as healthcare professionals working with those who are enterally tube fed to understand current practice across the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). This is a three-part questionnaire with 16 question and is a mixture of multiple choice and free text boxes. The information we collect will help to inform the updated Practice Toolkit which will be published in 2026.

Please complete the questionnaire here.
