Malnutrition Task Force event: Combatting malnutrition and dehydration in the community

The Malnutrition Task Force is hosting a learning day to identify practical solutions to preventing malnutrition and dehydration in the community. We will also launch the new MTF website and resources.
Through an interactive day of workshops, discussion and a malnutrition masterclass, aimed at those working with older people in the community – including in domiciliary care, care homes, the voluntary sector and health care professionals – we will provide you with resources and suggestions to implement changes in your local area.
Together we will explore:
- The role of nutrition and hydration in supporting older people to live independently for longer
- Learning from the MTF Prevention Pilot sites and whole community approaches to tackling malnutrition
- Identifying the barriers to combatting malnutrition in the community and ways to overcome them
- A screening masterclass where you will learn how to use tools to identify those at risk of undernutrition
The event is free to attend. Places are limited so please register your interest in attending here. Attendance will be confirmed shortly.
