The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) has opened applications for a range of committee roles due for renewal this year. These positions offer an excellent opportunity for BAPEN members to contribute to advancing clinical nutrition practice across Europe.
At BAPEN, we are proud to support ESPEN’s mission to improve the care of all those who rely on nutrition support. UK representation at the European level provides an important platform to showcase the expertise of our outstanding clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. We strongly value collaborative efforts to enhance standards of care, and we welcome ESPEN’s commitment to strengthening international working, transparency, and shared learning to benefit clinicians, educators, and nutrition professionals across Europe.
Applications are open across ESPEN’s Education & Clinical Practice Committee (ECPC):

To apply, please share a one-page CV and motivation letter (including the specific role you wish to apply for) to ESPEN’s Executive Committee: execom@espen.org.
You will also need to demonstrate support from BAPEN, as the UK’s representing PEN society. To obtain a letter of recommendation, please get in touch with the BAPEN Office [bapen@bapen.org.uk] or your regional representative, which can be found via the BAPEN website.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday 1st April 2026.
Successful candidates will be voted in ESPEN’s pre-congress meeting on Friday 4th September 2026.
