The BAPEN Improving Nutritional Care Grant Scheme is designed to stimulate innovation and evidence-informed practice in the field of nutritional care. The scheme supports projects that have clear potential to enhance clinical care, optimise service delivery, and improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with nutritional care needs. In doing so, it reflects BAPEN’s wider commitment to advancing nutritional science and translating research and quality improvement initiatives into meaningful patient benefit.
Projects funded through this scheme should demonstrate tangible impact—whether through developing new models of care, evaluating clinical interventions, improving screening and monitoring processes, strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration, or generating data that informs best practice.
The programme provides an opportunity for clinicians, researchers, and service leaders to advance practice, strengthen the case for nutritional care as a core component of healthcare delivery, and ultimately improve outcomes for people at risk of, or living with, malnutrition.
Applications operate through a competitive peer-reviewed process for BAPEN members based in UK institutions within a broad range of disciplines, spanning acute, community, and social care environments.
Currently closed to new applications.
