BAPEN is committed to supporting students and early career researchers to present their work at its conference.
This year, there will be a student stream of posters and oral presentations. This includes research from undergraduate OR postgraduate student projects/research, including both postgraduate taught and research degrees.
BAPEN is introducing a new ‘travel grant’ for 2025 to support student and first-time abstract authors attend the conference and present their work. The award is £250 towards travel or accommodation, paid post-event via expenses and is open to the first/presenting author of any accepted abstract.
Eligibility:
- Must be a member of BAPEN.
- Students (undergraduate or postgraduate – can be full or part time) and must be the first/presenting author on the abstract
- Or first-time abstract author (post qualification). You must be the first/presenting author on the abstract
- Only one applicant per abstract.
- Co-authors will not be eligible.
*A student is defined as someone involved in undergraduate or postgraduate work.

Applications will close on the abstract submission deadline of Monday 7th July, and you will be informed by 7th August if you have been successful.
