Webinar Series: Advancing Clinical Nutrition Knowledge and Practice

Due to the success of the 2025 webinar series, BAPEN is excited to announce that there will continue to be a monthly webinar throughout 2026 designed for healthcare professionals, nutritional scientists, and anyone passionate about clinical nutrition. This series will feature expert-led discussions, cutting-edge research insights, and practical strategies to enhance nutritional care.

Aims

  • To provide evidence-based education in clinical nutrition for healthcare professionals, nutritional scientists and healthcare students.
  • To highlight the importance of good nutrition and the implications of malnutrition on patient outcomes in all clinical settings.

Each session will tackle key topics such as:

  • Managing malnutrition in diverse populations.
  • Innovations in artificial nutrition and hydration.
  • Multidisciplinary approaches to improving patient outcomes.

Advanced Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian 

Paola Falcoski is a highly experienced Advanced Specialist Dietitian and a Somatic experiencing therapist. With almost 15 years of clinical experience, she has built a career dedicated to supporting individuals with eating disorders, neurodiversity, mental health as well as sport nutrition and women’s health.  She also contributes to research, education, and supervision. She is part of the BDA ARFID committee.

CYP Eating Disorders Service Improvement Lead & Advanced Eating Disorders Dietitian, Northeast and North Cumbria Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Partnership, Cumbria Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust

Clare Ellison is an advanced eating disorders dietitian with extensive multidisciplinary team operational and clinical leadership experience. She has spent two years as the regional ARFID Project Lead and a further 18 months as the Eating Disorders Improvement Lead within the North East and North Cumbria Provider Collaborative. Clare also serves as a Dietetic Clinical Advisor for Beat and is the Project and Impact Lead on the British Dietetic Association’s ARFID Sub‑Group Committee

Philippa Buckley

Dr Philippa Buckley

Consultant Psychiatrist, Feeding and Eating Disorders Service, Great Ormond Street Hospital

Dr Philippa Buckley is a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who leads the national specialist Feeding and Eating Disorders Service (FEDS) at Great Ormand Street Hospital. Dr Buckley has extensive experience in the field of eating disorders having worked across a range of settings including both out patient and in-patient services.
