The reporting period for collection of Adult Intestinal Failure Registry data for Q2 2026, covering 1st July to 30th September 2026, will close at midnight on Friday 16th October 2026.

This is the final opportunity for Adult Intestinal Failure and Home Parenteral Nutrition centres to submit all activity for the reporting period. Please ensure your data is submitted before the deadline.

The BAPEN Intestinal Failure Registry is mandated by NHS England for commissioned Intestinal Failure and Home Parenteral Nutrition centres in England and also welcomes data submissions from centres across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The registry collects information on adults receiving long-term enteral or parenteral nutrition and aims to create a comprehensive UK-wide record of patients with Type 2 and Type 3 intestinal failure. This enables services to capture, monitor and report data at both local and national levels.

Complete and timely submissions help to build an accurate picture of service activity, support service planning and benchmarking across the UK, and provide the data required for submission to NHS England to meet the specialised services quality dashboard (SSQD) requirements.

Data should be entered through the Intestinal Failure Registry platform.

For general BAPEN registry enquiries, please contact IFregistry@bapen.org.uk.

For assistance with accessing your account, setting your password, using the system, or securely transferring patient-identifiable information, please contact NHS England Outcomes Registries Support at england.support.outcomeregistries@nhs.net.
